JEANNE DREVAS
Jeanne Drevas has worked with bark, clay, sticks, stones, bones and as of lately…skateboards. Throughout her 40 years of laying roots in Rappahannock County, she foraged all the natural materials she needed from the foothills and forest floor to build her extraordinary creations. Her natural fiber, larger-than-life installations, bark sculptures, skulls, mummies, morphos, morbid dolls, iconic temple boxes, colorful pottery, and recycled-repurposed skateboard sculptures illustrate her deep, deep, deeper connection to nature, earth, and the magic that can be found in, and around us.
Jeanne currently resides in the Pacific Northwest and has embraced writing again. The treasured, one-of-a-kind pieces represented in our collection have come to us through the artist herself, friends, and collectors. Jeanne is, and will always remain at home here in the ‘Hannock.
